Alia Bhatt speaks up on Crime Rate in India

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt may be 23 year old but well matured to know the latest trends in the society in India and as per women are concerned she has raised her voice against the raising crime rate in the Indian society. The recent molestation case against the Malayalam actress Bhavana has really made her so upset that she can't deny the fact that women are not safe in open air.

In an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, when Alia was asked about the case of actress Bhavana, she said, "We always have our security apparatus around us. Whenever I am going to work, I always have somebody with me. But it’s very scary. It could be anybody. Honestly, I don’t want to talk much about it so I don’t bring more attention to the issue — anyone who is in that space wouldn’t want that right now. As a girl, I take a huge offence to it."

"It’s a very sad thing. I have a very simple question: Why are women going through this? We shouldn’t. The year itself started on a bad note with the Bangalore molestation case," she added.

Currently Alia is quite busy in the promotion of her upcoming film 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' and she has lots of expectation too.

As per her performance is concerned, Alia doesn't wish to sit and watch herself performing on the basic level rather she wish to constantly compete and challenge herself in every role she do.

Regarding the raising crime rate in India, Alia said, "The rate at which it is going up is scary. We are so cultured in our behaviour with everyone, that it [such behaviour] comes as a shocker. Why are we like this with women? I don’t understand it; it’s beyond me."
